In my first youth position I came across a talk by Youth Leader Ken
Poore. It has been a favorite of mine for years. In talking with your
teens especially, try taking their activity and answering their desire
through each court and the ultimate consequence of that type of
decision.
The natural man bases his on how he feels.
The Social man bases his on what society says.
The Moral man bases his on is it right or wrong.
The Christian bases his on what would Christ do.
Freedom is the ability to choose the best response in each situation.
Christ has placed us in the world not to be isolated but insulated
through the power of the Holy Spirit. Being transformed in the image of
Christ gives you the inner strength to handle the outer pressures.
